Our bird, wildlife and veterinary CPD programmes started in 2024 with running bird watching tours in the Seti Khola Valley, in central northern Nepal. Parts of the bird and wildlife tours are not on any other tour operator itineraries, but included because the World Pheasant Association www.pheasant.org.uk works with the local community there, and has done so for the last 45 years. The Veterinary CPD programme has developed in 2025 as a result of the relationships built over the years through work in the field. All proceeds other than the costs of running tours go to BIOCOS Nepal (Biodiversity Conservation Society Nepal) www.biocosnepal.org.np. This supports the community conservation education programme, and goes to assist the anti-poaching programme removing snares and releasing trapped birds.
The World Pheasant Association works alongside BIOCOS Nepal and has a MOU to facilitate conservation work in the local community. Neither charity are tour operators, so we collaborate in Nepal with tour operator Namaste Manang who are responsible for your itinerary.
